In a breakthrough in molecular science, the researchers at the China’s National Center of Nano Science and Technology and Renmin University have managed to obtain an image of weak hydrogen bonds present in a molecule using the recently developed Atomic Force Microscope (AFM). Researchers shared their discovery through a journal called Science. The team was able to get the weak hydrogen bond image of a 8-hydroxyquinoline molecule using the non contact nature of AFM. Till recently, the cheap pills most accurate images of a molecule were generated using a scanning tunneling microscopy.
With rapid advancements being made in AFM, scientists have been able to generate accurate images of the bonds inside a molecule. Getting to know the various aspects of hydrogen bonding would greatly help the scientists involved in DNA related studies. One can actually capture images using AFM in two different ways. These two ways include the contact form and the non contact form. In contact imaging, the tip of the mechanical probe is made to come in to contact with the material being analyzed. In non contact form, the tip of the probe is brought closer to the material, but doesn’t actually touch the material. The research time cheap pills from China used the non contact form of imaging due to the flat structure of the test material molecules.
