We are currently looking for a full-time Process Engineer to play a critical role in advancing our manufacturing and product development efforts.

Description:
The Process Engineer will assist the Liquidia and UNC manufacturing teams with various tasks and projects. Primary responsibilities include:
 |
Work closely with both internal and external partners in the development of challenging nanotechnology processes for delivering unique products |
 |
Apply hands-on experience with process development, equipment upkeep, and troubleshooting |
 |
Demonstrate aptitude for innovate process development from concept through execution and change evaluation |
 |
Apply technology skills and build theoretical models for the solution of complex problems, specifically in the areas of materials science, wet film coating processing, process controls, and material characterization/analysis |
 |
Participate with team members for execution of experimental programs |
 |
Responsible for quantifying the process options through experimental design and data analysis |
 |
Map results of development activities as a component of the roadmap to implement large scale manufacturing process and equipment design |
 |
Plan and carry out product, process, and equipment validations in accordance with guidelines such as FDA or ISO |
 |
Document procedures and standards for operating the process |
 |
Train others in operating the process |
 |
Strong communication skills in organizing work and suggesting direction to external and internal partners |
Requirements:
 |
BS/MS in a technical discipline (chemical or mechanical engineering, or related field) or equivalent of 5-10 years of experience in atmospheric coating product development or manufacturing operations |
 |
Demonstrated track record for implementation of programs from product design to SPC of manufacturing operations |
 |
Experience with leading and/or contributing to the design of equipment to support new processes at both prototype and production scale |
 |
Demonstrated competency in project management |
 |
Previous work in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, surface chemistry, and/or materials processing |
 |
Previous work in a ISO or FDA environment, with a focus on early stage product development and scale up |
 |
Demonstrated capability to design and execute complex experimental designs aimed at systems optimization using disciplined experimental design techniques including data analysis and results summation |
 |
Ability to summarize data and results for business and technical audiences |
 |
Demonstrated track record of working in a diverse organizational environment, at all levels within the group, with an exemplary history as a "self-starter" |
